Follow these step-by-step instructions to create bookmarks in Google Chrome.
Method 1: Using the Bookmark Button
1. Open Google Chrome: Launch the Google Chrome browser on your computer.
2. Navigate to the Website: Go to the website you want to bookmark.
3. Click the Star Icon: In the address bar at the top of the screen, click the star icon on the right side.
4. Edit Bookmark (Optional): A small window will pop up. You can:
a. Name the Bookmark: Edit the name of the bookmark if you want.
b. Choose a Folder: Select the folder where you want to save the bookmark. By default, it is saved in the Bookmarks bar folder.
5. Click Done: Once you have made your changes, click the Done button.
Method 2: Using the Chrome Menu
1. Open Google Chrome: Launch the Google Chrome browser on your computer.
2. Navigate to the Website: Go to the website you want to bookmark.
3. Open the Chrome Menu: Click the three vertical dots in the top right corner of the browser window to open the menu.
4. Bookmark the Page: Hover over Bookmarks and then click on Bookmark this tab or press Ctrl + D (Windows) or Cmd + D (Mac).
5. Edit Bookmark (Optional): A small window will pop up. You can:
a. Name the Bookmark: Edit the name of the bookmark if you want.
b. Choose a Folder: Select the folder where you want to save the bookmark.
6. Click Done: Once you have made your changes, click the Done button.
Method 3: Dragging the URL to the Bookmarks Bar
1. Open Google Chrome: Launch the Google Chrome browser on your computer.
2. Navigate to the Website: Go to the website you want to bookmark.
3. Show Bookmarks Bar (if not visible): If the bookmarks bar is not visible, you can show it by pressing Ctrl + Shift + B (Windows) or Cmd + Shift + B (Mac).
4. Drag and Drop: Click on the lock icon or the website URL in the address bar and drag it down to the bookmarks bar. Release the mouse button to drop the bookmark.
